Surfing Waves - Pacific White Sided Dolphin, British Columbia.
These active and carefree pacific white sided dolphins were having a whale of a time surfing waves created by a passing boat. These adventurous animals have a habit of racing over to get a free ride or simply just to release a burst of energy.
These dolphins were surfing waves before we even spotted them and continued to chase the wake long enough for me to ready the camera.
The scientific name for this animal photo "Surfing Waves" is
Lagenorhynchus obliquidens.
